I'd be interested if anyone has upped the compression ratio to 9.5:1 or so. Some other changes that would go with it would be re curving the timing and maybe a cam. The existing 40 CUIN is plenty (it is about 1/8 of a Chev 327 engine and 1HP/CUIN was kinda a benchmark) as we are already doing pretty good 0.75HP/CUIN and reliable.
Good exhaust flow can be had with the single wall HighwayHawk drag pipe. It is BIG all the way through not necked down with the standard double wall exhaust pipe. Others have talked of fitting bigger carbs so that can happen.
